Gregg A. Hine

ATF Senior Special Agent/CFI (Retired), IAAI-CFI

The FirePoint Group, LLC was established by Gregg A. Hine, a retired Senior Special Agent and Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) with the United States Department of Justice, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in 2014. Gregg has 34 years of law enforcement experience at both the local and federal level and served as a volunteer firefighter. Gregg holds bachelor’s Degrees in Criminal Justice from George Mason University and Fire Science from the University of Maryland University College.

Brian Mayers

IAAI-CFI, NFPA-CFPS, NAFI-CFEI, CVFI

Brian is a fourth generation firefighter and third generation fire marshal with over thirty-two years of diverse experience in fire and emergency services. For the last twenty-four years, Brian has served in the Operations Division, Special Operations Division, and Fire Marshal Divisions of a large metropolitan fire department located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor of Maryland.

Frank Molino

Detective MPDC, Retired

Frank A. Molino retired in 2013, as a Senior Detective Grade-One with the Metropolitan Police Department, Washington, DC (MPDC). Frank has more then 25 years of law enforcement and public safety experience. Frank has spent most of his career in criminal investigations assigned to the homicide branch were he served as a lead detective and participated in numerous types of violent criminal investigations, including non-criminal death investigations.

Thomas R. Daley

ATF Senior Special Agent/CFI (Retired), IAAI-CFI

Tom is a retired ATF Special Agent / Certified Fire Investigator with over thirty years of law enforcement experience at both the local and federal level. Tom holds a bachelor’s degree from Temple University.

Matt Rimland (Technician)

Professional firefighter / EMT with over 12 years of fire service experience. Member of Urban Search and Rescue Team. Heavy apparatus driver/operator. Previously worked as an ATF Fire Research Laboratory technician.

Eric Peña

ATF Supervisory Special Agent/CFI (Retired), IAAI-CFI, ACFE-CFE

Eric Peña is a retired Supervisory Special Agent/Certified Fire Investigator with 27 years of experience with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). His experience stems from complex local, regional and international fire and explosives investigations.

Tom Polera

Chief Fire Marshal (Retired), IAAI-CFI, NFPA-CFPS, NAFI-CFEI, NAFI-CFII

Tom is a retired Chief Fire Marshal with over forty years of fire service and law enforcement experience as well as previous private sector fire investigation experience with a forensic engineering firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Safety from Siena Heights University and is a Certified Public Manager from George Washington University.
